Yesterday I was delighted and honored to be able to celebrate both Chris' 35th anniversary of his birth as well as my beloved friend Megan's wedding. The day was a blur of YoYo donuts, Caribou coffee drinks, cupcakes from Sweet Retreat (it was my cheat day! YAAAAAY), roadtripping along the Mississip on the Wisconsin side, bluegrass music and Maiden Rock Cider. On the way to the wedding, I took the opportunity to inform and educate Chris about all the scenic towns and historical markers that dot the winding drive leading to Lake Pepin (I spent my early elementary years in Bay City, WI). Do you know the legend behind the name "Maiden Rock"? We do! As does everyone else who was lucky enough to sit at our guest table at Megan's wedding.

| "Well, technically, no one knows exactly the geological era that the Bow & Arrow monument was created in. Some say a native Indian tribe created it, some say they did not." |
The wedding was in Stockholm, a quaint little town (little as in population: 66) that looks as if it were literally lifted out of the woods in Sweden and set down on the banks of Lake Pepin. Megan's wedding was beautiful, and culminated with the sunset over Lake Pepin. Like the true glamorous, highly sophisticated, and ultra-cool people we are, Chris and I cemented the memory of our day with these photos.
